Health around the world has been put under the microscope this year, but there are still free and great methods through food. Here are two of the best courses to introduce you to food as medicine.
To begin with, let us quote Hippocrates: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Many foods work as effective medicine.
At the same time within the foods that are good for health, some may be suitable for specific individual cases while others may not. Something as simple as an apple can offer many benefits for most but can cause some side effects.
The best foods against disease are dark leafy green vegetables such as spinach and dark lettuces. These are rich in vitamins, minerals, vitamin C, folate, iron, magnesium, carotenoids, phytochemicals and antioxidants.
Red wine, tea and coffee are abundantly loaded with polyphenols and help fight many bacteria and are especially good for the digestive system.
Insurance companies in some countries cover even medicinal foods.
The following two courses give an interesting and though-provoking look into how foods can be used to treat ailments and alleviate illness.
