Projects that focus on supporting populations of the least developed countries are invited to participate in the SDG Impact Accelerator. Teams and individuals that have their MVPs and traction will receive an equity-free grant of $15,000. The deadline is on Friday 22nd January 2021.
The SDG Impact Accelerator (SDGia) is a global accelerator built by a multi stakeholder platform focusing on empowering “systems entrepreneurs” and innovators who are providing impact at scale.
It aims to generate market-creating innovations initially for refugee populations and least-developed country (LDC) populations at the second stage.
Participants will receive mentorship from UNDP, UN Technology Bank, governmental institutions, financial and technology experts, and global investors. An equity-free grant of $15,000 will be allocated to the teams accepted to the programme.
Initiatives working on any technology, service or product that offers a solution to a global problem within the realm of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are welcome to apply.
The call is primarily open for teams, but individuals with a proven track record may be accepted as well. You can apply if you fit in one of the definitions below:
- Founders
- To-be founders of start-ups at the idea stage
- Technology developers
- Teams from R&D institutes and universities
- NGOs who want to test social business models inside their organisations or build spin-offs
The deadline is on Friday 22nd January 2021.
Main Criteria
Teams who already have a product, traction, or MVP, and those that can implement their product in Bangladesh will be given priority in the selection process.
