The government of the United Arab Emirates offers scholarships each year either to study at their prestigious universities or to study in other parts of the world.
Most of these scholarships are available to international students.
Now with the easing of the situation related to health in many parts of the world, the UAE being amongst them, the government has announced hundreds of scholarships for a host of programmes from the undergraduate to the postdoctoral level.
Many students opt for studying in the UAE even when they are given choices, mainly on account of the UAE countries having become an economic hub. The seven countries that make up UAE are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fajairah, Ras al Khaimah and Umm al Quwain. Apart from petroleum, they have a focus on construction, petrochemicals, fishery, trade and investment and is a shoppers paradise. The other major aspect that attracts students to qualify and work there is the fact that they have no income tax and value added tax (VAT) was introduced only in 2018 at a pretty low level of 5 percent.
