The Rising Stars Program for Women of Asian Nationality

Women of Asian nationality are invited to take part in a four-month long online leadership training that aims to provide tools for social change. Rising Stars are action-oriented women who lead the change in their communities, schools, businesses, and beyond. Participants will benefit from mentorship and education funding as well as leadership opportunities and a global community of professionals. The deadline is on 15 October 2020.

What is The Rising Stars Program? Wedu Global is a social enterprise based in Bangkok, Thailand. The organization’s mission is to provide high potential young women from Asian communities with access to long-term mentorship and financing options to complete higher education and develop leadership skills.

Participants of the Rising Stars program will benefit from four month long online training with five-to-ten hour commitment per month.

The training will be held in English.

There are several steps to the program. Once applicants submit an online form, the leadership training and orientation program commences.

This is a self-paced, two-month online course that helps participants refine their leadership goals. Upon completion, participants are invited to interviews to share their discoveries regarding career vision and future plans.

The deadline is on 15 October 2020.

 

Main criteria

The competition is open to women of Asian nationality who are either applying to attend university at the Bachelor’s level within the next year, planning to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree in the future, or are currently enrolled in university at any level.

Candidates should demonstrate a deep commitment to working towards social change in their community and demonstrate the need to access opportunities and resources for leadership development.
