The Most Iconic Series

The production of new series is now moving at a high speed. Whether the new show will be a success or a flop is usually obvious within a few episodes. Nevertheless, some series have become really iconic and unforgettable. Check out the best of them.

The series titled M*A*S*H was one of the most succesful series of its time. The episodes were approximately 25 minutes long, and the two-and-a-half hour long movie posted records in the number of people who watched it. The series depicted the events inside a US Army field hospital during the Korean war and starred Alan Alda as Hawkeye Pierce, Loretta Swit as Margaret Houlihan, and Harry Morgan as Sherman Potter.

An iconic series which began in the nineties, coinciding with the advent of the Millenium. Viewers either loved Friends or hated it, but the fact remains that it was an enormous success for all the participants. For most protagonists, the roles overlapped their personalities and the actors were often recognised as Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, Ross, or Joey. While most of them tried acting careers after the series ended, it really was Jennifer Aniston, as Rachel, who had the greatest success with her later career as actress.

Length: 10 series, lasting from 1994 to 2004

The Simpsons

The series has also welcomed many, many guest stars (among others The Rolling Stones, Alec Baldwin, and Kim Basinger), for which The Simpsons hold the Guinness World Record for Most Guest Stars Featured in a TV Series from 2010. All of them, of course, appeared in typical yellow incarnations.
