The Debuting Movies Of Future Mega Stars – Weekend Tips

Everybody has his / her beginnings and so do movie stars. Those who over the years became recognised for their talent, often were struggling during their initial years. For some it meant decades before they reached their respective summits. This week our movie offer will take you back in time to see your favourite movie stars the way you may not have known them and at the same time see some of the movies that got tucked away in history.

The Little Shop of Horrors

Jack Nicholson is known for his particular mad looks and dialogue delivery. Some of his movies became legendry. To name a couple of them: One flew over the cuckoo’s nest and The Shining. Perhaps it is surprising that even during his early years,  there was strong resemblance to who he became later. One of his first movies in which he acted at the age 23 is The Little Shop of Horrors. A film to be remembered specially for Nicholson´s unforgettable creepy mad  laughter. Enjoy!

The Lion in Winter

Anthony Hopkins is another legend. What is less known is that Hopkins‘  real break through came with the movie The Silence of the Lambs when he was in his fifties. Before that, although he was acting, his fame was nowhere compared to his later years. Today let´s remind you of one of his first films ever.

A Study in Terror

Judi Dench –  this British star was well known even before her major role as James Bond´s boss “M”. The story of Sherlock Holmes with Dr. Watson and the younger Judi Dench in one of the small roles might add to your weekend afternoon.

Never Say Goodbye

Clint Eastwood – the sharp featured guy who doesn´t talk much but acts. He looks like he was  made for westerns and thrillers which came later during the sixties. Before that Eastwood acted  in a series of horror movies and played other small roles in different films. Let´s see him as a young man in Never Say Goodbye.

The Front Page

Susan Sarandon – lifelong activist – was waiting for her major role until the year 1987 for the film The Witches of Eastwick in which she excelled along with established stars Michelle Pfeifer, Cher and Jack Nicholson. Meanwhile she was doing her best which paid back – one of the earliest roles for a not yet 20 years old Susan was in an excellent and highly rated movie The Front Page.
