The oldest and the most prominent peace research centre in the world, PRIO is focused on peace and conflict studies and is based in Oslo, Norway. The institute conducts studies on the conditions for peaceful relations among states, groups and people.

Peace Research Insititute Oslo is currently inviting applications for a three year full time position as a Doctoral Researcher. The Research Council of Norway provides the grant for the project that is named as “TRUST”.
The position involves working in the fields of social sciences with particular reference to theoretical and empirical research on how the arrival and presence of refugee populations in many of the African contexts affect core sociopolitical attitudes among host communities. The Doctoral Researcher will be expected to live in Oslo and will be positioned at PRIO. The degree shall be awarded by The Norwegian University of Science and Technology which is the largest public research university in Norway.
