University students with skills and interest in marketing, translation and graphic design are invited for an internship at a Language Scientific, a technical translation company. The paid internships are part-time for the fall and spring semesters and are full time over the summer. Application process is ongoing.
Language Scientific is a Boston, Massachusetts-based translation company. They specialize in technical translation, software localization and interpreting services primarily for companies in the Technology, Engineering, Pharmaceuticals and Clinical Research industries. The company offers translation services in over 215 languages, with the majority of our work focusing on technical and medical translation between English and French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese and Korean.
There are three ongoing internship opportunities for college and graduate student in localization marketing, translation operations, multilingual graphic design departments. Language Scientific internships are paid and are available for summer, fall or spring semesters. The internship will require a time commitment of 10 – 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters, and 30 – 40 hours a week during the summer for a minimum of 3 months. Potentially, regular employment may result from exceptional performance. US and international students are welcome to apply.

Main criteria
Interns should be seniors or graduate students in business, writing, language, design, or marketing degree programs. Interns will need to provide a current school transcript for undergraduate applicants or a resume for graduate students. Marketing interns should provide a proposal on how they may approach the potential work and describe industries they believe are good target markets for Language Scientific. A writing sample is also required. Translation internships need to provide an essay describing qualities that make them a suited candidate for the internship. Graphic designers are to provide a portfolio and a proposal regarding their potential tasks.
