The university offers several free online courses. Here are a few of the interesting ones:
- Understanding Agribusiness, Value Chains, and Consumers in Global Food:
As the population grows agriculture must keep pace. Today, agri business is attracting the brightest of the minds. The length of the course is 4 weeks and requires an effort of 3 to 4 hours per week. - World of Wine – From Grape to Glass: This is another fast growing area. With vintners in countries such as France, Italy etc. finding it difficult to keep pace with the demand and availability of land, a fairly appreciable percentage of the growing of grapes and production is being moved to Romania, Bulgaria and other countries. The duration of the course is 6 weeks and you shall need to put in 3 to 4 hours per week.
- Entrepreneurial Opportunities: It’s a thing of the past when a small percentage of those in their 30’s would feel the itch to go independent. Today’s youth is far more enterprising and it’s not at all uncommon to find entrepreneurs in their late teens and twenties. The duration of the course is 5 weeks requiring an effort of 2 to 3 hours per week.
