Amazon Web Services offers a broad set of global cloud-based products including compute, storage, databases, analytics, networking, mobile, developer tools, management tools, IoT, security and enterprise applications. These services help organizations move faster, lower IT costs, and scale. As AWS is growing rapidly, they are looking for Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join the expanding Infrastructure Operations team.
The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician Intern (EOT) will assist with operating and maintaining all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center. The EOT Intern serves as a technical resource to support Amazon within its owned and operated data centers. EOT Interns are also tasked with driving innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities. They are Amazon’s front line responders for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operations. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, switchgear, UPS’s, PDU’s, AHU’s, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFD’s, and building automation systems. Intern’s responsibilities include assisting in root cause analysis of equipment failures and utilizing internal CMMS to manage building workflows.

Main criteria
Interns should be in pursuit of obtaining a Technical or Associates Degree within a relevant field. A GPA of 3.0 and above is required. 1+ years of data center operations/facilities experience is necessary.
