DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst German Academic Exchange Service) is the largest such organization for scholarships for study in Germany. Through them, scholars find opportunities to study in more than 100 universities and 162 universities of applied sciences as well as many institutions of music and art.
Via this current announcement they have invited applications under the Helmut-Schmidt-Programme for study in specified universities for the attaining of a master’s degree. The programme is for those who will eventually go on to make a career in politics, law, economics and administration.
Countries
The scholarships are granted to those who are citizens of specified developing countries and the list of these countries is on their website.
Award
Monthly amount of 850 Euros for the duration of the stay in Germany and 500 Euros during the online semester while the candidate is in her/his home country or another developing country.
Added to the above are travel expenses, monthly rent subsidy and subsidy towards study and research materials.
Applications can be submitted to all of the eight specified universities between June 1 and July 31, 2020.
