Did you know that in Japan it is specifically women who give their partners, chocolates on Valentine's Day? Whether you are woman or man, if you enjoy spoiling your partner a little , you may take that step and prepare something nice all by yourself. For this Valentine, truffels it is.
The preparations are very simple which even complete beginners can manage.
Ingredients:
- 200 g of chocolate (around 50 – 60% of cocoa)
- 150ml of cream
- 50g of crushed nuts or candied fruits (optional)
- 50g of butter
- 20g of sugar
- cocoa powder
Bring the cream to boil with sugar.
Take it off the stove and add the chocolate to melt.
Once it is melted and slightly cooler, add butter to the mixture and let it cool a little. At this step you can also put in the nuts or candied fruit.
After it is cooler and possible to handle, take bit of the mixture into a tea spoon and using a second tea spoon shape into uneven balls.
Roll each of the truffles in cocoa powder. Let it cool completely and serve.
