Science@Leuven scholarship

Science@Leuven scholarship is designed for talented international students who are willing to get a Master’s degree in one of the following programs of Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium during 2017-2018 academic year:

Master of Astronomy and Astrophysics, Master of Biology, Master of Biophysics, Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Master of Chemistry, Master of Geography, Master of Mathematics, Master of Physics, Master of Statistics, Interuniversity Master of Geology, Erasmus Mundus Master of Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling, Erasmus Mundus Master Sustainable and Territorial Development

Finalists will receive up to €10,000 a year. For those whose programs last two year, the scholarship may be extended provided that you get an honor roll in the first year. 

Main criteria

  • Applicants should not study in University of Leuven before;
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Excellent academic record;
  • Fluent in English

In order to receive the scholarship, applicants should indicate that they are applying for Science@Leuven scholarship in their application form on the official website of the university. After that, applicants should create an account of the website of the scholarship. of the university.

The deadline for the application is 15 February 2017.


CIMI Mathematics and Computer Science Scholarship

Every year CIMI (Centre International de Mathématiques et d’Informatique) located in Toulouse, France offers a number of scholarships for international students. This year scholarships are available for students applying for the first (M1) and the second (M2) year of Masters degree in mathematics or computer science. The stipend is up to €1000 a month. 

Main criteria

  • Excellent academic record;
  • Those applying for the first year of Master’s program (M1) must obtain Bachelor’s degree, those applying for the second year (M2) must successfully complete the first year of either European standard Master’a program or of American standard;
  • Candidates should be proficient in French language.

The London School of Economics PhD Scholarship

 The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is offering PhD scholarships for new PhD students. The scholarship provides talented students from all over the world with a unique opportunity to undertake full time research in any LSE discipline. The scholarship covers fees and living expenses of £18,000 each year for four years. The awards will be made solely on outstanding academic merit and research potential. This relates not only to past academic record of candidates, but also to an assessment of their chosen topic. One of the requirements of the scholarship is that scholars will contribute to their academic department as part of their research training, in the form of providing teaching or other work in their department, usually from year two onwards. Because there is no separate application form for the scholarship, students will be awarded the scholarships based on the PhD application to the School. 

Applications must be submitted by April 26th.

Nazarbayev University Educational Leadership Program

Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education (NUGSE) is now offering an opportunity to apply to one of three Educational Leadership Master’s degree programs (M.Sc): School education, Higher education and Inclusive education. 

Each program is designed for specialists who are seeking opportunities to acquire deeper knowledge in the field of education. In addition to the core courses, students can choose from the elective courses such as Organisation and Governance in Higher Education and Higher Education Finance.

After the completion of the course, students will be able to implement elements of project-management into their work as well as conduct researches on current issues and represent their countries at conferences and forums. 

Main criteria

  • Provide the evidence of proficiency in English language (IELTS/TOEFL);
  • GRE scores valid for the application period;
