UNICEF Communication for Development Internship In Amman, Jordan

Current university students and recent graduates with academic focus on education, communication, public health, etc. are invited to apply for a paid internship at UNICEF office in Jordan. Interns will receive a monthly stipend to offset costs associated with the positions The deadline is on Monday 21st December 2020.

UNICEF, also known as the United Nations Children’s Fund, is a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide.

The agency is among the most widespread and recognisable social welfare organisations in the world, with a presence in 192 countries and territories.

Two currently enrolled or recently graduated interns are invited to join UNICEF Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regional office.

Communication for development interns will collect and synthesise qualitative and quantitative evidence and data across MENA countries on COVID -19 to inform guidance for planning and implementation around response and recovery.

UNICEF will offer a basic stipend of $864 per month as well as a one-time payment of $1,000. Additionally, the intern will be entitled to two-and-a-half leave days per month.

The intern will cover and uphold any expense of transport, housing, basic needs, and utilities.

The deadline is on Monday 21st December 2020.

 

Main Criteria

  • A first-level university degree in communication studies, social sciences, politics, education, development, social/public policy, international affairs, public health, or related field.
  • A Master’s degree in communication for development, public health, social or political science, anthropology, or other related and relevant field.
  • Work experience in communication and development or humanitarian related fields will be an asset.
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English. Fluency in Arabic or French will be an asset
