European Youth Parliament Austria is looking for 1-2 new project coordinators for the Understanding Europe project, who would lead the team of trainers, be the main contact persons for the Board of EYP Austria and the Schwarzkopf Foundation and coordinate requests from schools or other institutions. Deadline to apply is June 22nd.
The concept of the courses, which was developed by the Schwarzkopf Foundation in 2014 prior to the European Elections, is based on the Peer-to-Peer-Approach. Young, trained, seminar teachers are coming to schools as trainer-tandems. As multipliers for European ideas and contents they are moderators and mediators at the same time. It is their aim to motivate pupils for the topic of the EU and to encourage them to participate. The EU-Crash-Course provides and visualises basic knowledge about European politics and leaves space for questions from students. The focus of the course is on three main topics: “Why does the EU exist?” – Milestones of European History, “Who is the EU?” – The Institutions of the EU and “What does the EU do?” – Competences of the European Union.
- The ability of leading a team
- Solid knowledge about the European Union
- A reliable and self-responsible working style
- Organisational skills
The panel will take into account when selecting
The previous experience of the applicants in working with students;
The personal motivation of the applicants;
The overall quality of the application.
