Current university students are invited to join the UN Resident Coordination Office in Suva, Fiji on a one-year paid internship. Candidates of various academic backgrounds will join the team in strategic planning, finance, data management, and other fields. The deadline is on 31 December 2020.

The United Nations Development Programme is the United Nations’ global development network that promotes technical and investment cooperation among nations.
The UNDP provides expert advice, training and grants support to developing countries, with the increasing emphasis on assistance to the least developed countries.
Interns can join the team of the Resident Coordination Office in Suva under one of the following areas: strategic planning, development economics, partnerships and development finance, data and results management and reporting, communications and advocacy, peace and development, humanitarian development nexus, UN75 and Pacific Listening Tour.
Possible tasks and responsibilities will include conducting research and analysis, monitoring and tracking of political and thematic developments, and preparation of briefings and concept notes.
Candidates must demonstrate strong writing skills, particularly the ability to present persuasive, coherent and well-founded arguments. Under the new revised UNDP internship policy, UNRCO will provide a modest monthly internship stipend to its interns.
The deadline is on 31 December 2020.
Main Criteria
Candidates must be enrolled in a degree programme in Social Sciences, International Relations, Economic Development, Journalism, Political Science, Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing or another related field.
Interested candidates should submit their resume and a motivation letter setting out the reasons why they are seeking an internship with UNRCO.
A letter from his/her university should confirm current enrolment and graduation date or proof of recent graduation or enrolment.
