Current university students pursuing a degree in IT, engineering, or a related field are invited to join Uber’s software engineering team in Sofia, Bulgaria. Participants will benefit from a competitive remuneration and a housing stipend. The deadline is on Monday 15th February 2021.
Uber is an American technology company. Its services include ride-hailing, food delivery, package delivery, couriers, freight transportation, and, through a partnership with Lime, electric bicycle and motorised scooter rental.
The company is based in San Francisco and has operations in over 900 metropolitan areas worldwide.
Students will work on Uber’s back-end systems and receive mentoring from Uber engineer. Successful interns will have the opportunity of joining the team permanently in the future.
Interns should be available for four to six months starting in February or March 2021 in Sofia.
Interns will benefit from the above-average monthly internship allowance, housing stipend, and Uber credits.

Main Criteria
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor (3rd or 4th year), Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical subject area.
- Good experience with at least one of the main programming languages used at Uber – such as Java, Kotlin, Go, Swift, Objective-C, Python or JavaScript.
- Proven software engineering experience through previous internships, work experience, hack-a-thons, coding challenges, and/or publications.
