The World Bank Internship: Application Deadline is January 31st

Applications are open for The World Bank Internship designed for highly motivated and successful individuals to improve their skills while working in a diverse environment. The deadline for applications is January 31st 2015 and the internship is offered during two seasons: Summer Internship (June to September) and Winter Internship (December to March).

 All interns will receive an hourly salary and eligible interns will receive an allowance for travel expenses. Interns are responsible for their own accommodation. Most positions are located in Washington, DC (some positions are offered in other offices) and are a minimum of four weeks in duration.

To be eligible for this internship, candidates must have an undergraduate degree and already be enrolled in a full-time graduate study program (pursuing a Master’s degree or PhD with plans to return to school in a full-time capacity). Generally, successful candidates have completed their first year of graduate studies or are already into their PhD programs.

Successful candidates are typically interested in the following fields: economics, finance, human development (public health, education, nutrition, population), social science (anthropology, sociology), agriculture, environment, private sector development, as well as other related fields. Prior work experience is an advantage, as well as knowledge of languages such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian and Chinese.
