Young African leaders of up to 35 years old are invited to participate in the Mandela Washington Fellowship. Participants will benefit from a full scholarship and a six-week programme at a US college or university. Additional professional opportunities are available. The deadline is on Wednesday 15th September 2021.
The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is the flagship programme of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) that empowers young people through academic coursework, leadership training, and networking.
Each year, the fellowship provides up to 700 outstanding young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa with the opportunity to hone their skills at a US higher education institution with support for professional development after they return home. Institutes focus on leadership and skills development in one of three tracks: Business, Civic Engagement, or Public Management.
This is a six-week programme at a US college or university with an additional opportunity for up to 70 Mandela Washington fellows to participate in a four-week professional development experience with a US business, civil society organization, or public agency.
The deadline is on Wednesday 15th September 2021.
