The HOPE challenge is organized by Seattle Advocates of Education (SAFE). This certified nonprofit is dedicated to fighting education disparity throughout the greater Seattle area. Throughout the year, they offer numerous affordable weekly classes and summer programs for middle school students which each covers different topics, such as coding, drawing, and creative writing.

This opportunity is aiming to help students blend their entrepreneurial spirit and intellectual curiosity to promote positive change. Students are expected to submit an elevator pitch video (1-3 minutes) proposing their product or service. The prompt for the challenge is to Develop a solution that seeks to solve an arising problem that COVID-19 has created.

Students can work in teams of up to four people. The winning teams will receive $200, $125, and $75 prizes while three other teams will receive an Honorable Mention and $25 Prize.

The deadline is on 15 July 2020.
