The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships in Canada

Postdoctoral candidates wishing to conduct research in Canada are invited to participate in a two-year Banting postdoctoral fellowship in Canada. Fellows will receive an annual salary of $70,000 for the duration of two years. The deadline is on Wednesday 22nd September 2021.

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships programme is one of a suite of elite federal research capacity development programmes in Canada.

The programme provides funding to the very best postdoctoral applicants, both nationally and internationally, who will positively contribute to the country’s economic, social, and research-based growth.

Fellowships are distributed equally among the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).

This is a two-year fellowship with an annual taxable salary of $70,000. The fellowship is not intended for students to complete a degree.

The deadline is on Wednesday 22nd September 2021. 

 

Main Criteria

Both international and Canadian candidates are eligible to apply.

Applicants must have fulfilled all degree requirements for a PhD or PhD equivalent degree between September 2018 and September 2022.
