Startupbootcamp Cape Town

Young entrepreneurs are welcome to apply for the Startupbootcamp Cape Town. This is a leading accelerator focused on the search for startups in blockchain, connected devices, payment solutions, capital markets, asset management, integrated supply chain, and e-commerce. Deadline to apply is 9th of July.

The accelerator is anchored by leading corporate sponsors BNP Paribas, RCS, and PwC that will support and grow the program and selected startups. Global sponsors include Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Intel, and Cisco.

From a pool of hundreds of applications, Startupbootcamp Cape Town will select the 10 most promising teams and will provide each team with €15,000, 100-plus highly engaged mentors from the FinTech, InsurTech and RegTech industries, free office space, access to funding, and a network of industry partners, investors, and venture capital firms.

Startups from all over the world are invited to present their ideas to the Startupbootcamp team in a series of ‘FastTrack’ days between May and July 2017. These FastTracks will be held globally in Accra, Amsterdam, Cairo, Cape Town, Doha, Dubai, Johannesburg, Kampala, Lagos, London, Nairobi, Paris, and Tel Aviv.

The finalists will participate in an intense, three-month program designed to support entrepreneurs, connect finalists with the leading corporate players in their industry for pilot projects, partnership opportunities, and support from mentors. An award of €15,000 in cash per team will be provided to cover living expenses during the program.

Main criteria:

  • The application process includes submitting the online application, Skype interviews, and a three-day Selection Days event at the program location;
  • All startups must have the majority of their team including the CEO located in the program city for the full 3 months.
