Apply for Internships in Germany

What are Internships in Germany? The Dresden International Graduate School for Biomedicine and Bioengineering (DIGS-BB) is a structured PhD program of the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD).

It is dedicated to first-class research and doctoral training of talented students in a wide range of interdisciplinary fields including:

  • biomedicine,
  • biophysics,
  • biochemistry, and more. The DIGS-BB was founded in 2006 as part of the successful application of the TUD in the German Excellence Initiative.

A student research internship lasts three months and concludes with a written report and an oral presentation.

The precise dates will be agreed individually with the hosting group.

Successful candidates will receive a monthly allowance of 800 to support travel, housing, and living costs.

Guidance in arranging travel, housing and visa will be provided, if required.

Applications will be reviewed by the group leaders offering the internship placements after the eligibility has been evaluated by the DIGS-BB Program Coordinator.

Video interviews will be conducted with candidates before announcing the final decision.

The deadline is on 31 January 2021.

Main Criteria

The Student Research Internships are open to matriculated non-local university students studying towards a bachelor or master degree in the fields of Life Science, Natural Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Applied Mathematics.

Bachelor students must have completed at least 4 semesters of their studies before starting the internship.

Official enrolment as student at the home university and high proficiency in English is mandatory.
