Current graduates studying public health are invited to join UNICEF on a remote internship. The programme will be held from 2 January to 30 June 2021. Interns will provide operational and technical assistance across several health programs. The deadline is on 9 December 2020.
UNICEF, also known as the United Nations Children’s Fund, is a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. The agency is among the most widespread and recognisable social welfare organisations in the world, with a presence in 192 countries and territories.
Interns will contribute to the work of the Implementation Research and Delivery Science Unit that supports the integration of research within existing health programme implementation.
The intern will provide operational and technical assistance across different health programs including immunisation, primary health care, maternal, child, and adolescent health and gender. The intern will be remotely based and work from home.
Candidates will be expected to participate in section meetings, as well as other UNICEF meetings of interest to the student, including the seminar series for UNICEF interns. Guidance will be provided regularly.
Interns will work closely with UNICEF country and regional offices to translate research into action and impact.
The deadline is on 9 December 2020.
