PhD Programme in Engineering and Planning in Taiwan and England

PhD applicants from around the world are invited to participate in a dual PhD project between universities in Taiwan and England. The project will aim to develop a chromatic based monitor system with embedded artificial intelligence. Scholars will benefit from a full tuition fee scholarship and a contribution towards living expenses. The deadline is on Friday 30th April 2021.

This project is a part of a four-year dual PhD programme between National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan) and the University of Liverpool (England).

The focus of the project is on the chromatic analysis of behaviour and neural substrate of pain perception in cuttlefish.

Students should spend equal time studying in each institution. Both universities will waive the tuition fees for the duration of the project and provide a stipend of £280 per month as a contribution to living costs.

The project will focus on trying to fill a much-needed gap in understanding the comparative and evolutionary biology of pain.

The deadline is on Friday 30th April 2021.

Main Criteria

The programme is open to students worldwide.

Applicants should apply via the University of Liverpool application form, for a PhD in an appropriate study area.
