Pan African Youth Camp 2020 for Young Changemakers

The Pan African Youth Camp is organized by Tanzania Youth Coalition, a non-government organization focused on making the voices of the youth heard in all policy platforms. They facilitate information dissemination, sharing and exchange, policy analysis, lobbying, and advocacy.

The objective of the camp is to discuss and find new ways of supporting youth development in East African countries by collecting ideas and solutions of youth challenges. This 3rd Youth Camp will enable participating youth and other invited stakeholders to reflect on different schemes for youth development that are designed to support youth in start-ups, formal and non-formal sectors as well as marginalized groups. The camp will include sessions on youth development, investments and empowerment through startups, internships and youth exchange programs for employability skills. The camp will take place on 27-31 July at Weruweru river lodge camping site in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Over 50 participants will be full funded to attend the event.

The deadline is on 21 June 2020.

Main criteria

• Applicants must be citizens of Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan or Uganda aged between 18-29 years
• Fluency in English is required. Participants should be involved in a start-up, organization or network, institution, formal or informal group as a multiplier of one of SDG or having founded his/her own startup as a change maker in a society
• Interested applicants need to provide a motivation letter, brief description/abstract of their projects and CV
