International students wishing to obtain a master’s or doctorate level qualifications in Russia are invited to apply for the Open Doors fully funded scholarship. In addition to the tuition fees coverage, applicants will benefit from a governmental stipend. The deadline is on 10 December 2020.
Russian Scholarship for International Students
“Global Universities” Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation offers Open Doors Russian Scholarship for International Students.
The scholarship is available on the basis of an online competition to pursue a master or PhD degree.
The online competition is aimed at prospective applicants to master’s and PhD programs and allows winners and runner-ups to study at any Russian university, with tuition fees covered by the state, which implies a 100% discount on tuition + a governmental scholarship at one of leading Russian universities.
The doctoral track includes one additional round which consists of an interview with potential research advisors at the participant’s choice.
If the interview is successful, the participant chooses a research advisor from among those who gave them a pass.
The scholarship allows participants to apply for numerous programs including sciences, maths, linguistics, and education.
The deadline is on 10 December 2020.
Main criteria
The scholarship is available to international students. Candidates applying for the master’s track should obtain the bachelor’s degree, and doctoral applicants should hold a master’s degree. Russian citizens are not eligible for the scholarship.
Participants should demonstrate proficiency in either Russian or English language.
