The National University of Singapore offers generous direct-PhD Scholarships to outstanding students of all nationalities who have strong research potential. The research-intensive program enables students to achieve research excellence. The deadline for the online application is May 15, 2017.
The National University of Singapore Graduate School’s scholarships are awarded to talented students with an aptitude for innovative, high caliber PhD research. The NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering (NGS) is the home of cross-disciplinary PhD research and education at the forefront of science, engineering, computing, and related aspects of medicine at NUS.
All NGS scholars have access to ample resources and a world-class infrastructure and receive supervision from distinguished academics. Students may, with the agreement of their supervisors, conduct up to two years of their PhD research at one of our partner institutions in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Japan, or China.
Main criteria
- Candidates from all countries can receive the scholarship;
- Applicants must be graduates with a passion for cross-disciplinary research in science, engineering, computing, and related aspects of medicine;
- TOEFL / IELTS (either can be used) is only compulsory for applicants whose native language is not English.
Scholarship winners will be receiving a monthly stipend throughout up to four years of PhD studies. What is more, the scholarship covers tuition fees for four years and provides various allowances which will reimburse the cost of participating in conferences and expenses related to educational materials.
