A New Era of Education: Degree or Knowledge? Find the answer in the new Youth Time Magazine issue in August-September, 2015.
In the run up to autumn we traditionally explore an issue related to education. This year, we are deliberating about the matter of digitalization, its affordability and adaptive capability within the modern living environment.
Just a couple of centuries ago the common people of this planet were fighting, against the opposition of the privileged elite, for the right to be educated. Nowadays, there are no boundaries to the accessibility of information. You can live in one part of the world and get a bachelor’s degree in another; moreover, it isn’t necessary to sit at a computer if you have a smartphone.
Will education ever be free and affordable to everyone? If it is so, in what manner will humanity move away from the traditional system of education to the conceptually new one? We’ll try to find it out.
