New York-based Azure pottery studio is seeking interns to join the company on marketing campaigns, artistic work, and teaching. This is a 20-25 hour a week commitment available from May through August, with the possibility of extension into the fall of 2021. Application process is ongoing.
New York Azure Pottery Studio
Azure arts studio is a pottery studio located in Richfield Springs, New York. Founded in 2015, the company provides educational classes to adults and children and hosts art festivals and workshops.
Interns will benefit from flexible work and training hours depending on their skills and experience. Various duties may include assistance with weekend art festivals and markets, loading and firing bisque and glazing kilns, assisting with preparation for and teaching seasonal workshops for adults and children, teaching at summer classes, creating posts for social media and marketing campaigns, creating visuals of the new work, and more. Participants will benefit from the use of the studio and equipment, monthly stipend to cover stoneware clay, glazes and firing of work each month, a monthly travel allowance, a curated pack of tools will be provided for personal use. There is a potential for additional income related to marketing performance.

Main criteria
Undergraduate upper level or graduate students may fulfill an internship for academic credit. Young professional and emerging artists are strongly encouraged to apply.
