Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship Programme

Current students pursuing graduate studies at an American university are invited to apply for the The Sea Grant Knauss Fellowship.

Students should have an interest in ocean, coastal and Great Lakes resources and in the national marine policy decisions affecting those resources. The deadline is on Friday 19th February 2021.

The Fellowship, named after one of Sea Grant’s founders and former NOAA Administrator John A. Knauss, matches highly qualified graduate students with “hosts” in the legislative and executive branch of government located in the Washington, D.C. area, for a one year paid fellowship.

The dates of the official fellowship are Tuesday 1st February 2022 – Tuesday 31st January 2023.

Candidates will need to include their CV, a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, list of plans for the upcoming year, and all transcripts as part of the application process.

The deadline is on Friday 19th February 2021.

 

Main Criteria

  • Applicants must be enrolled towards a degree in a graduate programme.
  • The graduate degree must be through an accredited institution of higher education in the United States or U.S. territories.
  • Students are eligible regardless of nationality; domestic and international students at accredited U.S. institutions may apply.
