Young people from all over the globe are welcome to apply for the Second Global Young Leaders Peace Camp 2017 in Sri Lanka. The event will take place in Colombo on May 4-8. The deadline is April 21.
The Second Global Young Leaders Peace Camp 2017 is the brainchild of the Unity Expeditions Peace Initiative and the Management & Science University & Youth Federation for World Peace, Sri Lanka. The theme of this year’s camp is “Raising transformative youth leaders to promote world peace”.
The camp itself is a platform to bring together international students and youth leaders, who will work together in order to come up with solutions to such goals as healthy societies, prosperous nations, and a world of peace. The application process includes filling out the form on the website. After that, candidates will receive an email confirming their participation.
Main criteria
- Candidates must be current students or recent graduates;
- Belonging to an organization is an advantage but is not the main criterion.
The registration fee is $250 (Early Bird registration fee of $200 is available until April 3). The fee covers accommodation, catering, and transfer to and from the venue, seminars, and workshops as well as cultural programs, field trips, team-building activities, and certificates.
