GSC Traineeships for Candidates With Disabilities

EU nationals with a recognised disability are invited to apply for a paid five-month traineeship at the General Secretariat of the Council. Candidates must have a university degree or be third year students of a higher education establishment. Placements will commence in September 2021. Application process is ongoing.

The General Secretariat of the Council (GSC) is the body of staff responsible for assisting two EU institutions: the European Council and the Council of the EU, including its presidencies, the Permanent Representatives Committee and the other Council committees and working parties.

The application form is available in English and French. You must have a thorough knowledge of one of these two languages in order to apply.

Placements are available in digital communications, employment, home affairs, human resources, IT, interinstitutional relations, internal audits, law, outreach, and translation.

Main Criteria

  • a legible copy of your passport or identity card
  • a copy of your diplomas or official certificates
  • where necessary, proof of your professional experience
  • proof or a substantiated declaration of your knowledge of the languages stated on the application form
