Spend your summer break writing code and learning about open source development while earning a stipend. The deadline is on 31 March 2020.
Apply for Google Summer of Code 2020 Online Competition
Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on bringing more student developers into open source software development. Students work with an open-source organization on a 3-month programming project during their break from school.
The deadline is on 31 March 2020.
Accepted students work with a mentor and become a part of the open source community. The first step is to browse the list of organizations and look for project ideas that appeal to you. Next, reach out to the organization to introduce yourself and determine if their skills and interests are a good fit. Since spots are limited, it is recommended to write a strong proposal and submit a draft early so they can communicate with the organization and get their feedback to increase the odds of being selected. The participants will receive stipends based on the successful completion of their project milestones.
