Internship at GlobalGiving in Australia, China or Nepal. 1 Day Left to Apply

GlobalGiving, an online charity marketplace that gives social entrepreneurs and NGOs from anywhere in the world a chance to raise money for their causes, is currently looking for a team of two motivated individuals to take up the summer field internship and travel throughout Australia, China or Nepal. The deadline for applications is March 13th.

The interns will attend workshops and conduct site visits in one of the aforementioned countries to visit development projects, evaluate the work of partner organizations, conducts outreach and run workshops for partner organizations, support current GlobalGiving partners and establish new partnerships in the field for GlobalGiving.

They will spend 8-10 weeks in the country meeting with local change makers who are protecting endangered species in a unique ecosystem, helping to cure heart disease for children living in rural areas, protecting girls from being sold into slavery and much more.

The internship is unpaid and the interns are expected to fund their trip. GlobalGiving will provide a modest stipend for airfare ($700), travel medical insurance ($200), workshop & communication costs ($1,000), and a monthly stipend ($200).

Prospective interns should have job or internship experience in international development, non-profit management, or marketing. They should demonstrate the ability to work well independently and in teams, and should demonstrate cross-cultural understanding, responsiveness, and flexibility to changing circumstances, as working in the field can many times include unexpected situations.
