Young female change-makers from any country other than the United States are welcome to apply for The 2018 Girl Up Leadership Summit. The event will take place July 8-11th in Washington DC and will bring together more than 350 young leaders for three days of leadership training, influential speakers, skills-based workshops, and direct advocacy. The deadline is on January 10, 2018.
Girl Up is committed to diversity and inclusion.
Main criteria
- Must be entering the US equivalent to 9-12 grade;
- Live/Reside and be a citizen of any country other than the United States;
- Be able to attend the entire Leadership Summit (July 8-11, 2018)
Awardees will be judged on their demonstrated financial need, the quality of their essays, their demonstrated leadership potential, and their commitment to gender equality and social justice. The scholarship will include the following: flight to and from Washington DC, 3 nights of shared lodging at the official Summit hotel, transportation to and from the airport to the official Summit hotel, $50 stipend (in the form of a check) to be used for dinners
