G20 Summit #YouforG20 Worldwide Project Competition

The G20 Summit invites young women from all over the world to take part in G20 Summit #YouforG20 Worldwide Project Competition. Deadline to apply 28th of June.

On the occasion of the G20 Summit is organizing a world-wide competition called #youforG20 – a project for an interconnected world. #youforG20 will give a cash award to one project that in an especially convincing way addresses a social, environmental-policy, or economic topic and helps to improve actual living conditions for people. Projects may promote social commitment at the municipal level, contribute to gender equality, help to protect the environment and climate, or promote social entrepreneurship.

Main criteria:

  • Participants must be at least 21 years old;
  • Applications must consist of a written presentation of the project and should be no longer than 2,500 characters;
  • Applications should preferably be written in English;
  • Participation also requires a short video (approx. 3 minutes in length) outlining the submitted project. 

The prize money of €15,000 shall be issued by the German embassy in the relevant guest country or by the Federal Foreign Office. German missions abroad reserve the right to inquire as to project progress on site. The winner will be notified on 14 July 2017.
