Funded ASEAN Young Socialpreneurs Program 2017

Teams of young social entrepreneurs are invited to apply for the ASEAN Young Sociopreneurship Program (AYSPP) 2017. This is a biennial program held by the GEO FISIPOL at Gadjah Mada University to present and introduce the concept of social entrepreneurship in the developing world and its role in regional economic stability. AYSPP aims to inspire broader and deeper understanding about social entrepreneurship and its practical applications through a week of stimulating programs and activities. This year the event will take place on 15-19 September in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Deadline to apply is 11 June.

In order to participate, the team must fill out the online registration form on the AYSPP 2017 official website by creating an account and providing documents such as passport photos of each team member and scans of passports. The organizers will cover the expenses of participation (to be confirmed).

Main criteria

  • Teams must consist of 1 – 3 student(s) or young adults aged 16 – 30 years;
  • The social entrepreneurship project or business proposed must not last longer than 3 years;
  • A team may consist of students or young adults from different institutions and/or countries.

A team must submit the Business Model Canvas in the format of a Power Point Presentation. A team will register automatically by submitting a Business Model Canvas in the format of a presentation document. Candidates’ ideas must include a new product or service, a new social enterprise, and a new start-up business.
