The Government of Sri Lanka Presidential Scholarships program offers support to international students applying to higher education institutions in Sri Lanka. Scholarships are open for courses of studies other than Medical, Dental Sciences & Engineering. The deadline is on 16 April 2018.
Scholars will receive all the tuition and registration fees covered, as well as visa waiver and monthly allowanced designed to cover food and accommodation. Reimbursement of cost of airfare (economy class) will be provided to come to Sri Lanka and return to his/her country after successful completion of studies.
Main criteria
- Candidates should be citizens of a country other than Sri Lanka;
- Candidates should be no older than 25 years on 16 April 2018;
- Applicants except native English speakers must provide evidence of proficiency in English. Minimum score for TOEFL is 525 and minimum band score is 6.0 for IELTS.
Each applicant should submit three sets of applications along with all required documents to his/her government nominating agency.
The government nominating agency of the applicant shall submit the applications with their recommendation to the Sri Lankan mission in his/her. In case a Sri Lankan mission is not present in his /her country, the government nominating agency can forward the applications directly to the MoHEH, Sri Lanka.
