Entries now accepted for The IAFOR Documentary Photography Award. Try to reveal the world’s injustices in the most creative way and get an opportunity to be exhibited in the UK and Japan and win £1,000 cash. The final submission deadline is June 1.
The IAFOR Documentary Photography Award is an international photography award which seeks to promote and assist in the professional development of emerging documentary photographers and photojournalists. The award is supported by The International Academic Forum (IAFOR) – Asia’s Think Tank.
The 2016 Award Theme is Justice. “We hope that the broad nature of this theme will encourage photographers to submit work that explores justice from a variety of perspectives. By seeking to reveal the world’s injustices, the photographer acts as a powerful agent of change. The photographer is an activist, putting himself at the service of the promotion of human rights, peace-building and social change“, written in the official description of the word.
Main criteria:
- The contest is open to young photographers under 31 y.o. only;
- Each applicant may submit 10 to 20 images related to the award theme, either in the form of a photo-essay or as a collection of single images.
Please note, that along with your images, you have to submit a project description about the photo-essay / portfolio of images entered into the award and how it relates to the project theme of ‘Justice’.
