Are you trying to figure out what this word actually means? The oxymoron, defined as a figure of speech in which mutually exclusive words appear in combination, would seem at first glance to be a phenomenon from linguistic antiquity, most commonly found in required reading in upper level university courses. Oxymorons, however, turn up in daily communication more than one would think. Check a few out.
