Everest International Model United Nations

Young people from all over the world are welcome to apply for the fourth Everest International Model United Nations. The event will be held on July 10-14 in Kathmandu, Nepal. The deadline for the application is April 30 while the deadline for scholarships is April 15.

Organized by the Youth Thinkers’ Society in collaboration with The US Embassy in Nepal, this residential conference will bring together young leaders to a common platform in order to discuss imperative global issues and provide innovative solutions. Participants will indulge in intense discussion on various topics that strengthen sustainable development goals and provide a framework to implement agendas to create a meaningful impact in the lives of people. YTS is committed to identifying the potential of youths from different backgrounds. Creating and guarding a nurturing environment for different projects, providing capacity-building training and training the trainers has been the significant work area of the organization with a meaningful impact at different levels.

Main criteria

  • Candidates should be undergraduate or graduate students who can demonstrate high academic achievement;
  • Fluent in English.

The registration fee is $200 for early bird registration and $250 and $300 for normal registration and late registration, respectively. This fee covers airport pickup on arrival, conference materials, a place in the global village, social events, and the reception & networking dinner, meals and accommodation for four nights and a certificate of participation. Airfare is not covered by the fee.

However, the EIMUN will provide scholarships for those candidates who meet the requirements. These include a need for financial support, previous experience in participating in conferences, and academic achievements. In order to receive a scholarship, a separate form should be filled in and submitted along with the application.

In order to participate, candidates need to fill out the online form providing personal information as well as responses to topics related to this year’s agendas and previous experience of participating in conferences and training sessions.
