Young graduates interested in international relations are invited to apply for a six-month traineeship at EU office to Taiwan. The placement will focus on political, press and information tasks starting in February 2021. The deadline is on Wednesday 30th December 2020.
The EEAS is the European Union’s diplomatic service. It helps the EU’s foreign affairs chief – the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy – carry out the Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy.
Interns will contribute to reporting on political developments in Taiwan and in its relations with foreign partners.
Additionally, they will assist in the organisation of meetings, research on topics related to international relations, and prepare draft speeches.
Candidates should provide a standard Europass CV and a cover letter describing why you want to participate in a EU traineeship.
Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses.
The deadline is on Wednesday 30th December 2020.
Main Criteria
- Due to the very evaluative context of the COVID-19 breakthrough, applicants currently residing in Taiwan will only be considered.
- Excellent background in politics and international relations, or a very strong proven capacity for one of those fields.
- Specific knowledge of Taiwan’s economy and foreign policy.
- Excellent English language skills and minimum B2 level of Mandarin are required.
