What is Insights Scientists Internship at P&G in the UK: Proctor & Gamble Innovation Centres in Reading and New Castle are responsible for the research and development of laundry and home-care consumer products, such as Gillette, Ariel, Daz and Fairy brands.

The P&G is an American consumer goods corporation that specialises in a wide range of personal health, and personal care and hygiene products.

These products are organised into several segments including beauty, grooming, health care, fabric & home care, and baby, feminine, & family care.

Consumer Insights Scientists provide in-depth consumer understanding by making non-obvious connections across consumer, technical and business realms, and translating these connections into product propositions and strategies.

Candidates will be recruited to work in the Reading and Newcastle Innovation Centres on 12-month internship placements starting in summer 2021.

During your internship, you will play a key role in generating consumer insights and inspiring your multi-functional R&D partners:

  • designers,
  • engineers,
  • scientists
  • & technologists.

Main Criteria

Candidates should be in the penultimate or final year of their degree (Bachelors or Masters) preferably in a different scientific field (e.g. natural/life/physical/data science/computer science), or engineering (chemical/mechanical/electrical/design).

Academic excellence at all stages through school and University education and good knowledge of English are required.

Technical curiosity, creativity, innovation, initiative, communication, leadership and strong collaboration skills are an asset.
