Climate Science Olympiad 2021

Climate Science is a global charity creating and providing educational resources on solutions to climate change. Climate Science has organized this Olympiad to find solutions to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Winners will receive prizes of up to US$5,000 and have their expenses covered to attend the finals in Glasgow, Scotland. The deadline is on Sunday 1st August 2021.

The Climate Science Olympiad is divided into three phases. The qualifiers stage invites teams of one or two participants to work on a problem statement and write an essay response to the question.

The top 5% of all qualifier participants advance to the global semi-finals. Semi-finals are held online.

If there’s no more pandemic, finalists will meet in person and attend the ‘Green zone’ of the United Nations Climate Summit (COP-26) in Glasgow on November 1-12, 2021.

The top three teams win US$5,000, US$3,000 and US$2,000, respectively.

The deadline is on Sunday 1st August 2021.
