The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace is a premier international affairs think tank with headquarters in Washington, D.C. and offices in Beirut, Beijing, Brussels, Moscow, and New Delhi.
The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace seeks a fellow or senior fellow for its Washington-based Africa Programme. Carnegie’s Africa programme focuses on the economic, political, and transnational issues shaping the African continent’s stability and prosperity.
The fellow or senior Fellow will anchor Carnegie Africa’s work on technology by tracking major trends in digital innovation and regulation in Africa, helping define the research agenda on technology for the Africa Programme, and producing high-quality analysis that yields policy insights on digital innovation and regulation.

Main Criteria

The chosen candidate will have a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience with private sector experience preferred; a graduate degree is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the tech policy and regulatory landscape in Africa, excellent analytical skills including the ability to work with datasets, excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Working knowledge of French is preferred.
