Citizens of Asian Development Bank’s developing member countries are invited to apply for a scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies at a university in Japan. Finalists will receive a full tuition fees coverage and living allowance for the duration of the program. The deadline is 10 December 2020.
The Government of Japan and the Asian Development Bank offer the Asian Development Bank Japan Scholarship Program 2020 at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Frontier Science. The Asian Development Bank assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
This scholarship provides an opportunity for well-qualified citizens of ADB’s developing member countries to undertake postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region.
Students will be placed at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Frontier Science. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, monthly allowances for instructional materials and housing, medical insurance, and travel expenses.
The deadline is 10 December 2020.
Main criteria
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with a superior academic record
- At least two years of full-time professional working experience and proficiency in oral and written English are required
- Candidates should be younger than 35 years of age
- Candidates should agree to return to their home country after completion of their studies
