Current university students from ASEAN countries and China are invited to apply for the virtual young leaders’ summit. The event will focus on strengthening strategic partnerships between participating countries. Participants will convene virtually from Thursday 23rd September to Sunday 26th September. The deadline is on Tuesday 17th August 2021.
The ASEAN Foundation and Peking University is pleased to organise the ASEAN-China Young Leaders’ Summit.
The summit target tertiary education students from across ASEAN and China to understand diplomacy as well as decision-making of ASEAN Member States in addressing regional issues through various high-level ASEAN meeting simulations.
The summit promises an authentic experience to understand ASEAN affairs and “Commemorating 30 years of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations: Strengthening Strategic Partnerships for the Next Decade and Beyond”.
Candidates are required to submit a short creative video introducing themselves and elaborating on what drives them to participate in the summit.
The deadline is on Tuesday 17th August 2021.
Main Criteria
Current university students from any disciplines should be studying at institutions in the ASEAN Member States and China.
Candidates should be between 18 and 35 years of age.
Proficiency in English is required.
