Applications Are Open For Nantes Creative Generations Forum

Young people from all over Europe are welcome to apply for the Nantes Creative Generations Forum which is designed specifically to encourage innovative citizen initiatives, openness to Europe, and meetings and networking between young people. In order to be considered, candidates should fill out the application form by 18 June.

The Nantes Creative Generations Forum will take place in Nantes, France on 25-28 October. The event will bring together leaders willing to make a commitment to the theme of “living together”. Nantes Creative Generations fosters the creation and successful implementation of many types of inspiring and innovative projects, which promote greater humanity, generosity, and solidarity in Europe.

During the course of four days, participants will have a chance to share their ideas and projects, develop skills in setting up projects in Europe, and meet potential partners with a view to setting up cross-border projects which could be funded by the Cooperation Prize. Moreover, the program of the forum includes plenary sessions, workshops, and discussions.

This year, 30 projects will be selected to be presented during the Forum. Projects must contribute to strengthening the notion of “living together”, involve a “citizenship” approach in its general sense, and develop an original approach. The projects can be linked to a large range of topics: environment, health, education, culture, sport, intercultural dialogue, the fight again discrimination, the media, etc. Projects must be concrete initiatives or be at least in an advanced stage of reflection if not yet realized.

Main criteria

  • Successful candidates must be citizens of the member states of the Council of Europe and Belarus;
  • The age group for participants is 18-30 years old;
  • The main criterion for candidates to be considered is the availability of a concrete initiative related to the theme of the forum;
  • Sufficient level of English is essential for all participants.

All the successful candidates will be notified about their status in July, 2017. The organizing committee will cover expenses for transport, accommodation, and food cost for 2 participants, maximum, per project.
