Young people interested to pursue a Bachelor of engineering degree are welcome to apply for the GSEP program. Under this program, qualified international students who have little or no proficiency in the Japanese language are now able to enroll at Tokyo Institute of Technology. Students who have been accepted for a Scholarship will not be required to pay the admission or tuition fees. The deadline is on September 6th.
The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of JPY 120,000 for undergraduate students. Students will be provided with an economy-class air ticket from the international airport closest to their place of residence in their country of nationality to Narita or Haneda International Airport.
Main criteria:
- Applicants must not hold Japanese nationality, and are required to possess a College Student Visa or intend to acquire one by the time of enrollment;
- Applicants should be at least 18 years old by March 31, 2019;
- Applicants must have completed or be expecting to complete a 12-year regular education outside of Japan by March 2019 as equivalent to a Japanese high school program;
- Applicants must have obtained one of the following minimum scores in English proficiency tests: TOEIC Listening & Reading:700, TOEFL-iBT:78, TOEFL-PBT:520, IELTS Academic Module:6.0.
